Sometimes, I discover that yes, there are multiple ways a fight could go, which is awesome!
Fight scenes are packed with action and brief description, like characters thinking fast, so I try to Butt smelling thread put myself in their shoes. It's silly, but when I imagine a fight scene, I actually like to act it out a little bit to get a more realistic feel for how the fight would go.

I have that problem for gunfights but not for swordfights. All the action doesn't have to happen in one scene; it can be featured throughout the fic and push it to a really dramatic climax. Because of my line of work, I'm much more familiar with gun fights than anything else.
More posts from the FanFiction community. Writing stuff like medieval Boys compare penis and melee in general takes a lot of effort and research as well as trial and error.
